Math
academic tutoring
For grade 5 to 12

What we provide: |
Instuctor Chua completed
her
Masters degree in Statistics with a
GPA of 4.0 and currently holds a professional job
in the statistical field. She has over 12 years of Math
tutoring experience, teaching elementary through high
school students
on a one-on-one basis as well as in small groups. With a strong passion
in Math and being a high academic acheidver herself, she finds joy in
helping her students excelin Math. |
1) Maintain an accelerated
teaching pace,
i.e. a few chapters ahead of the schools, so that we build a
foundation in the new chapters before the schools get to these chapters.
2) Course note that contains
summarized notes -concepts,
formulas, etc, and
examples to reinforce the concepts will be given.
1)3) Homework after every class.
4) Test
after every chapter.
5) Focus on How to get the solution as opposed to simply WHAT the
solutions is, so that students can effectively apply the same
systematic problem techniques to
all problems.
6) Review students school test results to identity areas that
need improvement, so that the instructor can work with individual
students to make improvements. |

Instuctor Taylor was
graduated in English from Penn-State University
and has been teaching for over 20 years. For the pass three years, she
has been teaching and tutoring at the elementary
school for three local school districts
as a substitue teacher. In the summer of 2007, she taught in the Gifted
Study Program at U.C.
Berkeley. Julia has an extensive background in different sugjects
and has experience and
strong passion in teaching English and
Communications. Insturctor
Taylor is also currently teaching Golden Gate University courses. |

Two-hours weekly courses
拼音
(Pin Yin) will be taught as a fundamental skill
set.
Your children
will be grown to a technology century when Chinese will be mostly typed
as oppose to hand-written. It is important that your children not only
engaging in the conventional teaching method but also mastering
typing.
Kwan Academy
designs curriculums that emphasize both writing and typing. Our lab is
fully equipped with
computers, allowing students to master their typing skills and
learn Chinese the modern way. We make sure that our
students can develop a life-long skill set that will not fade even
after their
high school and college years.
